Lavanya draws upon a wealth of expertise in mental health and counseling, seamlessly integrating over two decades of experience. Her extensive qualifications – a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, an MS in Counseling and Psychotherapy, an MA in English Literature, and a BA in Psychology – empower her to skillfully interweave the domains of healing, equity, health, and justice. Her impactful efforts reverberate among individuals, families, and communities across the US and India, leaving a profound mark on their lives and shaping their world. Lavanya’s unique edge lies in her decade-long tenure in the corporate sector prior to transitioning into the mental health field. This diverse background enables her to connect with individuals from various professions, backgrounds, and environments effortlessly. Fluent in several South Asian languages including Hindi, Kannada, and Tulu, she is passionate
about providing culturally sensitive care. Specializing in trauma-informed counseling including EMDR, mindfulness practices, and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and other forms
of victimization, she has also worked as a therapist closely with young adults and families in a college counseling setting.
